Thursday’s Child has far to go……..

But I am going to give it my all to get there and enjoy the delicious journey…..

This morning my juice was super duper. It contained, kale, broccoli, parsley, 2 carrots,1 green apple, 3 oranges, celery and a cucumber. I added in 1/4 cup of hemp hearts and a 1 tbsp chia seeds, a little bit of cayenne pepper and a little bit of turmeric.

For supper when I got home last night I had a big bowl of Honeydew melon and black berries. A bit bowl a fruit is a great way to unwind after a long day at the office.

Wednesday Feb 20th, 2013

I wasn’t feeling very well yesterday and all through the night. The reason simple – the bowel movement that didn’t happen. It’s amazing how much better you feel when the waste is eliminated daily.

To fix that I got up and drank almost 2L of water. Not soon after I was heading for the washroom.

Now I feel fantastic. I think I used a little too much fibre from my juicer the day before.

This morning I had my juice and added the chia seeds and hemp hearts, so they have a longer time to digest.

In my smoothie for work I am only adding the ground flax seed. Today’s combo is Strawberry, Cucumber and Orange. This I will drink on my 1st 15min. break and then for supper a large salad made out of romaine, red pepper and mushrooms with the homemade Caesar salad dressing that is made out of macadamia nuts and pine nuts. 

 

Last night when I got home from work I made a Pineapple, Lime, Fennel and Avocado Smoothie. It was delicious. Here is the recipe :  http://www.youngandraw.com/creamy-pineapple-fennel-smoothie/

Tuesday February 19th, 2013 – How many days till spring?

Well another work week has begun for me. I’m thankful its a short one as yesterday I was off.

This morning’s juice was very nourishing and I feel alive and ready to face the day. I was at the Hospital at 9am to get my blood test. I am on blood thinners. Maybe someday I’ll be able to go off them, lets hope. My clotting rate is 2.1 in the norm so I don’t go back for a month.

Last night for supper I had the amazing Caesar Salad. It is truly so delicious. If you serve this to those not on a raw diet the too would thoroughly enjoy it. Get Ready

Ok today is the day. Kristine and I are joining WW. I went for a walk uptown last night. Man am I out of shape……………..going to be a lot of work…….but I am UP for the challenge. Today is my day off so I am cleaning, cooking and surfing the net and eating things I won’t be eating anymore for awhile starting tonight after 6pm.
